Tottenham finally escapes from the three-back.

Tottenham had a terrible year. After Antonio Conte and Christian Stellini left the team one after another, Ryan Mason took over as acting manager. By the end of the year, the team had fallen to eighth place in the standings and were virtually guaranteed to miss out on European competition next season.

Tottenham are looking for a new coach to lead the team next season. After a number of candidates, Arne Slott, who led Feyenoord to the Champions League, has emerged as the favorite. Multiple British media outlets have reported that Spurs are in talks with Slott and that a deal is on the table.

Slott got his first managerial job at AZ Alkmaar in 2019. Slott led the club to the top flight with his pressing and build-up from the back. They had a chance to win the league title in the 2019-20 season, but missed out due to the early end of the COVID-19 pandemic. He then took over from Dick Advocaat in 2020 and led Feyenoord to the title this season.메이저사이트

According to the UK’s Football Insider, the biggest change under Slott will be the formation. On April 22, the publication said, “Slott has stuck with the 4-3-3. Tottenham’s back three will also be converted to a back four.”

Tottenham have played with a back three in recent seasons. Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, and Conte have all used a back three. They would settle down and defend rather than take control of the game, then use Harry Kane and Son Heung-min on the counterattack to try and score.

However, this season has been a frustrating one, with both defense and attack breaking down, and the form of Son Heung-min and Ivan Perisic in particular has been an issue all season. Slott has used a 4-3-3 formation with a back four at Feyenoord, so it’s likely he’ll use a similar tactic at Spurs.
