South Korean women’s golf rising star Bang Shin-sil, 19, has jumped to No. 110 in the world rankings.
The 19-year-old South Korean golfer jumped 123 spots to No. 110 in the Women’s Golf World Rankings released on Tuesday, up from No. 233 last week.
Bang won the Korean Ladies Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour E1 Charity Open on Aug. 28. Starting with the KLPGA Championship last month, she captivated golf fans by playing in the final-round championship group three times on the regular tour. It was her first win in five tournaments.
She stands at 6-foot-3 and is known for her powerful long game, which can reach over 300 yards. This, coupled with her delicate short game, has made her one of the hottest players on the KLPGA Tour this season. She currently leads the KLPGA Tour in stroke average (70.08), driving distance (259.6 yards), and greens in regulation (79.6 percent) this year, and is sixth on the money list and third on the Rookie of the Year list.메이저사이트
